Our Story

From a kitchen in Pagani to Main Avenue in Stirling, since 2011.

Chef Biagio at the oven

Born in Pagani, Italy

Biagio Iuliano grew up in Pagani, in the Salerno province of Italy's Campania region, the eldest of three brothers. His love of baking showed early, somewhere around eight years old.

By fourteen he had his first venture: making homemade bomboloni and croissants in the family kitchen and riding across town on his bicycle to sell them to the neighbors.

"To make people happy through my creations."
Chef Biagio Iuliano

From Italy to America

He cooked as a personal chef for a high-ranking official in the Italian armed forces before immigrating to America. Within three days of arriving, he had found work as a pastry chef.

After years across kitchens and food establishments, he built a wholesale bakery supplying restaurants, delis, and pizza shops fresh every day.

After eight years of that work, he realized his real ambition and opened Biagio's in 2011. Today he still bakes fresh every morning and builds every sandwich by hand.
